Unreliable Chris Locke disappeared years ago from his last job, as stock-manager in one of reputed from KFC's warehouses. His sister, dodgy lawyer Bonnie, never investigated until a corpse, possibly his, is found unidentifiable in a crash-burnt car. Now she isn't satisfied with the meager police investigation and calls in a private eye. Slowly it becomes clear the case has to do with a drug money plot involving parties in her other case, defending dodgy waitress Nicole Forester, who lies about her ex, not actually a stalker, and knowing Chris. The fiends attack when she finds the cash.
